Yesterday was another busy day, trying to get ready for this Saturday.
I got a bunch of work done at home and then Dave (Grain Edit) and I headed over to Pixar to grab some lunch with Sanjay and LAM.
This kid is busy these days with work and Ghee Happy deadlines….
but he’s still coming up to YYZ for Saturday’s party, so make sure to come out GH Groupies!
Mmmm. that Turkey Bacon Croissant is looking good.
Went back and finished the back of the CD packaging for the limited edition
Stones Throw mix that Koushik did for *PMH.
Wow, that took a while.
I had to take a break to let them dry, so I walked down and
grabbed some chai with my buddy Kumar. Yea, thats his iPhone.
I’ve also been working on getting a couple new silkscreen prints out as well.
here’s a sneak peak, they just got finished yesterday, just in time for Toronto…….
More on them tomorrow.
Sanjay has been doodling again, been trying to get this kid to blog on *PMH.
Sorry for the late post, I got back home from Houston late Sunday night and got thrown into a pile of work on Monday.
The trip down to Houston with Sanjay was a blast, but I didn’t take too many pictures, oops.
It started with a bang, we thought the Taliban got on board our flight, but it was just some hippy from SF trying to get some shut eye.
We went down for the opening of the arts of India Gallery at the
Museum of Fine Arts, like I previously mentioned.
The postcard reminded me of what Sanjay and I are doing with our work.
Mythology / vintage Bollywood.
The lighting in the gallery was pretty shitty, so I didn’t get any good shots inside.
Here’s part of the interactive touch screen that had some Ghee Happy reprezentin’.
We went to a couple events for the gallery opening throughout the trip.
Hung out with the Houston elite and their trophy wives on Thursday at this fancy dinner.
Beet and blood orange puree, wtf? Tasty.
We landed at 1/2 Price books one afternoon, which was pretty dope.
Sanjay scored some rare Little Golden books.
Isn’t this cover dope Dave?
Book signing at the museum, non stop for 3 hrs. The GH groupies were out in full effect.
Halal Tacos? Hell yea!
Check out this great hand lettering that Christine, the curator for the museum, had in her office. She’s been trying to learn Arabic and Sanskrit, crazy.
See you next time TX.
I’m getting ready to head out to Houston, Texas with Sanjay (Ghee Happy) on Thursday.
The Museum of Fine Arts down there is opening a new permanent gallery for the arts of India, which opens on the 16th (My Birthday! woop)
They asked Sanjay a while back for Ghee Happy to be part of the interactive multimedia space that runs throughout the gallery.
I’m siked to check this out, Hopefully I’ll post some pictures up during the trip.
Any *PMH readers in Houston?
You can check out an article about the show, which mentions Sanjay, here.
